Writing Coach

Laura specializes in coaching unpublished and newly published writers, especially young writers.

My private coaching session with Laura helped me as a writer and encouraged me to continue writing. Laura answered any questions I had and her kind guidance was truly invaluable; I truly learned a lot from the session! - Rida

I enjoyed my video chat with Ms. Thomas a lot. She gave me pointers on how to stay on track with my novel, and how to write a poem about a topic I don’t feel strongly about. It was a very valuable experience. – Anya

Mrs. Thomas gave me great advice––with a lovely smile and an encouraging, guiding hand. I would definitely recommend coaching lessons for those of you who want to move forward as a writer and artist. – Dabria Karapita

The manuscript evaluation is a one-time feedback service which includes: reading and an evaluation. This is a critique service which will help you get your book manuscript to the next level and guide your revision rounds. Fiction and non-fiction projects are welcome.

How it works: To purchase a manuscript evaluation, please email your manuscript to Laura so that she can give you a firm price and approximate completion date. Once payment is received, Laura reads your manuscript. After reading, she writes up a detailed summary and evaluation based on the elements of the applicable literary genre and email that to you. You will have the opportunity to read through the evaluation and then send Laura any follow up questions you might have. This is typically done through email.

The manuscript evaluation Laura provided me with for my novel has certainly helped me notice the loopholes and the sub-plots which do not make sense. Her evaluation has made me see my work from a reader’s perspective. I know I’m going to revisit her feedback over and over again as I revise my novel. - Smriti Verma

Ms. Thomas answered all my questions and now whenever I write I remember what she said. Since she’s published her own stories and has been a junior author like us once too she has the experience and understands what we mean when we ask our questions (no matter how awkwardly you may have asked it) and can answer it. I also really liked being able to put a voice and a face with someone who I only knew through emails. She’s really nice! Anyone who is only considering a private coaching session should definitely get it or ask for it as a present from your parents for your birthday or another occasion if you don’t have the money at the time ;) I throughly enjoyed my private coaching session and hope to do another soon! – R. 1. So… is the only way to get coaching to pay? I’m only a teenager, and my parents aren’t super supportive of my writing, so I can’t pay, but I really want/need some coaching.
    Thanks,

Wow, this looks like an amazing service. I will seriously consider using this in the future, as I have been wondering for a while where I was going to get some professional advice when I finished my manuscript. Thank you so much, Laura.
