A Lover’s Lullaby

A Lover's Lullaby Nadia Zywina jaBlog!Green was the colour of her eyes,
and the colour of the grass
where we lay and watched the clouds.

Green was the colour of her prom dress,
and the bow she wore in her hair on our
first date.

Green was the colour of her bedroom,
and the colour of the night light she still had that
she claimed scared evil.

Green was the colour of the streamers at
the Spring Dance,
and green was the colour of the lights that
illuminated her smile.

Green was the colour of her face
as she became sick.
Until she closed her green eyes one last time,
never to open them again.
