Write for jaBlog!
The Blog by and for Junior Authors
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you wish to have a piece considered for the July issue, we must receive it by June 15th. We will not be accepting any submissions after June 15, 2016.
Who can submit?
We accept submissions from writers between the ages of 9 and 21.
What happens after you submit?
Each submission that conforms to our submission guidelines is carefully reviewed by our editorial team.
We email all writers about our decision and provide some feedback to writers whose submissions are not going to be published. Often, if a piece is very close to being ready for publication, the writer will be given an opportunity to send in a new draft which we will reconsider.
If we decide to publish your piece, we reserve the right to proofread and edit the title and body of the piece for clarity or length. These minor edits do not require the author’s approval. If major revisions are needed, we will send you the revised piece for approval before publishing.
We do our best to respond within 4 weeks.
Writers who have their work published on jaBlog! receive a coupon for $10 CAD to spend in the LTC store.
What can you submit?
NOTE: We will only consider one piece of writing at a time. Do not send emails with multiple documents attached. Choose your best piece of writing, submit it, and then wait for a response before submitting again.
