          Hi Mayla,

          1) It’s international. Writers from all countries are welcome.
          2) Write a short story on any topic you like.
          3) You don’t have to be a member to participate in our Junior Authors Contests. You can join our Insider Mailing List to participate in extra contests, qualify to join the LTC Team, etc. The details are on the left side of this page near the top. It’s free to sign up for the mailing list.
          4) Our contests are free to enter.

          Sincerely,
          Laura

    Hello Ms. Laura!

I am interested in applying for any writing opportunities that I may get though I am not that professional in the writing world. I don’t consider myself a beginner also since I have been writing since I was in elementary but I’d love to hear feedback regarding my written works. So, to cut my message short, when would be the next application and is this open for people of all races? Thanks!

    • Hi Natasha. I am now accepting applications for spring. The deadline is posted on this page.

      • Natasha Victoriano

Ooops, sorry :) Missed the closed thingy. :)

  4. Hello Laura, I had sent my application for paid freelance opportunities a few months ago. When will I know if I am selected or not?

    • Hi Ravi. I have already emailed the candidates who are advancing to the next level.

  5. Rhianna

Would you be interested in links to work published on Wattpad etc.?

    • Hi Rhianna. Sure.

      • Rhianna

Thanks :) What you’re doing for young authors is amazing.

  6. Ishara

    Hi!
I was just wondering what my chances of being selected. How many writers do you select?
    Thanks in advance.

    • Hi Ishara. I have a file with about 70 applications in it right now. I will only select a few.

  7. Sana

    HI!
I also wanted to ask about whether or not we should number our applications according to the guidelines. I know it sounds silly, but I just want to be thorough.

    • Hi Sana. It does not matter. Just make sure you include all the info.

      • Sana

Thanks! This website really inspires me and the opportunities you provide us with are amazing! You’re always prompt and helpful and I can’t help but want to contribute somehow to all of this. I will submit my application tomorrow.

  8. Sana

    Hi!
I was just wondering how we are supposed to confirm the fact that we are listed. Will we have to write it on the application or just independently double check? Also, do local awards count for the application?

    • Hi Sana. I will cross check all applications with the LTC Insider mailing list. Yes, local awards count. You bet! :-)

  9. Sera

    Hi!

If I hand the application to you earlier, will I get a result earlier also?

    • Hi Sera. No. I will be looking at all the applications at the same time.

  10. Lily

When do we have to apply by? Is there a deadline?

    • Hi Lily. I will be reviewing applications at the end of this month.
