  1. Dear Laura,
    Can I apply if I’m under 14?

    • Laura Thomas

Hi Akshta. You can apply. I have brought Journey Meyerhoff onto our team when she was only 13.

  2. Cheryl

    Dear Laura Thomas,
I understand that the selection process for the spring has already began, but I was just wondering when the next one would be, or if there would be one at all. I recently just found out about your work and have began the process for acquiring “Polly Wants to be Writer”. Thank you so much.
    Sincerely,
    Cheryl

Hi Cheryl. There will be another round for sure in the spring of 2015. I usually do two a year, but this year, with two new novels coming out, I don’t think I will have time to do a fall round. But, if I can squeeze it in, I will send a notice out to everyone on the Insider Mailing List and post it here.

    hi Laura!
the link to my story online isnt working, so i have sent it along with the rest of the info.
otherwise, the whole thing fits in one page
Is there any problem with that?
    thanks!

        Thank you Laura!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  4. Nabila

I want to join the team! :)

By the way, I have two important questions here:
    1. Should I write the application in form of list or bullet points?
    2. For the language I can write, what if I can write with the letters but not really fluent in the language? Should I include it?

    Thanks, Mrs. Laura.

    • Laura Thomas

Hi Nabila. You can do bullets if you like. Tell me the languages you are fluent in.

  5. Taha Hussain

I am highly encouraged after reading Polly’s story. I think I can do it too. Thank you so much for writing such a great book. I think I am going to join soon!

    • Laura Thomas

Hi Taha. Thank you for the compliment. I truly appreciate it. I will look forward to reviewing your application if you do apply to join our team.

  6. Janaya

    Hi!

DO you know where I can apply for a FREE copy of your book, Polly Wants to be a Writer? I know you give out like ebooks and such for mini-contests (if that’s what you want to call them), but I don’t have a kindle or anything… so yeah…

    • Laura Thomas

Hi Janaya. The best place to get a copy of Polly is at your favourite bookstore. I don’t give away free copies of the paperback unless it’s for a major achievement, such as winning one of our Junior Authors Contests, and only the top 4 out of over a thousand writers get a free copy. What you may not realize is that the publisher does not give me any books free, not one. Anything I give away (eBook or paperback) I have to pay for too.
